First Success!

Hey everyone, a quick update from us. On the 1'st of May we pitched our MDP concept in the student pitch competition hosted by STUD Delft. It was an awesome night with some very cool and innovative ideas, inspirational people and of course an open bar ;). We spent the whole day outside in the sunny weather practicing our pitch and we're happy to announce that we ended up winning 500 EUR!
Besides the pitch we have been busy talking to a range of experts and companies, building on our knowledge of the industry and the gaps in the market. Currently we're working on finding funding and clients for a first prototype to really validate our idea and find product-market fit.
Founded!

Yes, R-BUD is now officially founded! On the third of April we headed to the notary to officially incorporate our business. After a bunch of back and forth with the bank we got our bank account on the 7th, just barely in time to submit our proposal for the 'MIT Haalbaarheid' subsidy on the 8th. The next few weeks will be spent anxiously waiting, first to hear our position in the draw* and after to hear if our proposal complies with all expectations.
With the subsidy we will be able to conduct a thorough study of the feasibility of our MDP (Mobile drone platform). It consists of slightly less than 1000 hours of contacting and meeting with potential clients, drone partners and governments. Simultaneously we will work on limited prototyping of certain sub-systems (like the radar) to better gauge their feasibility.
Furthermore on the first of May we will participate in the STUD Delft pitch competition and get a shot at winning €1500! Money we can use to cover costs not covered by the subsidy like visiting fairs and development of the final product.
*The past couple of years the MIT haalbaarheid study has always had more applications than available budget meaning only about 50% of the applications even get the chance to be assessed.
